Refurbishment & Demolition Surveys

What do these survey’s involve?

A pre-refurbishment or demolition asbestos survey is required to locate and describe, as far as reasonably practicable, all asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in the building. Unlike a basic asbestos management survey this process involves a more intrusive/destructive inspection in some instances to gain access to all areas of concern.

When are they undertaken?

Typically this type of asbestos survey shouldn’t be undertaken in a property that is occupied or due to be reoccupied after the survey has been completed. Electrical, mechanical and gas services should be isolated to enable the asbestos surveyors to access all areas.
